Dog Grooming in Duarte
Canyon dogs, about ten minutes from the Glendora spa.
Duarte sits in the gap the second spa was meant to close — west of Azusa, east of Monrovia, about ten minutes from Glendora and still a reasonable drive to Pasadena. Fish Canyon dogs are the ones who need us most.
The land was Rancho Azusa de Duarte, a Mexican land grant to Andrés Duarte in 1841. The city incorporated in 1957 and stayed small on purpose: about 22,000 people, with City of Hope on the west side and the San Gabriel Mountains on the north. Huntington Drive is the main street. Fish Canyon is the canyon on the north edge of town.
Fish Canyon and the foothill streets put dust, foxtails, and packed undercoat in the coat. Encanto Park is the easier walk. A lot of Duarte dogs also put in miles at Santa Fe Dam, just south in Irwindale. City of Hope's neighborhood is quieter sidewalks and smaller companion dogs.
The nearer door is Glendora, about ten minutes east. Pasadena still works if you are headed that way. Fish Canyon coats do best with a Full Groom and de-shedding. Tell us which spa, and tell us if the dog was on the trail this week.

Questions from Duarte pet parents.
Should Duarte book Pasadena or Glendora? +
Glendora is closer — about ten to twelve minutes east on the 210 to 104 W Foothill Blvd. Pasadena is farther west, and still fine if that is the direction you are already going.
Do you check for foxtails after Fish Canyon? +
Yes. Ears, paws, and underbelly on every canyon dog, plus a de-shed if the undercoat is packed. Mention the hike when you book.
Is Irwindale on the way? +
Irwindale is the industrial city just south of you. We do not have a separate page for it. If you can drop off in Glendora or Pasadena, we can groom the dog.
